The Qollasuyu September Gathering has occurred at The Mountain every year (except 2021) since 2010 and years before with workshops with Oscar Miro-Quesada who began sharing the Peruvian Wisdom and Healing traditions of his teachers, Don Celso Rojàs Palomino and don Benito Corihuaman Vargàs.  Following our original mission to promote and support workshops with Oscar Miro~Quesada in the Southeast, the Qollasuyu Council determined we also needed to create Council sponsored gatherings to bring the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition mesa carriers and interested others together in beautiful surroundings to be in community and ceremony as a way to be together and practice the practices.  

 Each September we gather together to enter sacred place and time.

We come to remember and practice the practices.  

What we do alone at our mesas is amplified 

when we and our mesas come together in community.

The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition integrates Andean ancestral wisdom, including reverence for the divine feminine, through its practices and ceremonies that honor the sacredness of nature and community.

During this weekend we will honor the Sacred Feminine by becoming more aware of the ways the sacred feminine infuses the tradition, our community as well as our personal lives and practices. Through ceremony, contemplation, communion and conversation, we will invoke, evoke, and celebrate the many dimensions of this multifaceted tradition and practice.

 

This weekend will be a journey for each of us no matter our sex or orientation. All are welcome.  

We will explore individually, in small groups and all together enter the mysteries, invitations and 

experiences.

 Over this weekend, we will engage in the ancient practices that remind and help us to connect to our inner Self, to others, in community, and to the natural world around us. Through ceremony,  the teaching of ancient sacred arts by members of our community, the stories, the music, the walks on the mountain paths and sharing of the sacred gifts of each participant, we weave a weekend of communion, connection and celebration. The Qollasuyu Council and invited others create the container.We are called to deepen our connections within the natural and unseen worlds by immersing in the encantos that sing us back to Life! 

Stand on Meditation Rock to experience the sunrise or sunset.  Sit within the flow of the constant universal living energy pulsing through the ancient oaks, retained in the moss covered rocks, and soaring with the hawk in the distance.  At night if the sky is clear, you can see the Milky Way. 

                               This is a place of restoration and connection.           Join us. 

~ REGISTRATION ~

The weekend begins with dinner at 6:00 PM on Friday and ends with lunch on Sunday. Rooms are ready by 4:00 PM. You are welcome to come earlier in the day, add a night on Thursday and/or Sunday to get oriented, enjoy the trails at The Mountain or have time to visit nearby waterfalls and the town of Highlands.

     Pre-requisites:   

1. Each person is expected to be present for the full weekend barring medical or family emergencies. The energy builds as we move and weave through each event of the weekend.

2. Each person must have a basic understanding of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition and have created a

 basic mesa. We can provide links to resources or personal study with a mesa carrier.

Note: Another group with many elders is meeting in the Lodge.  Many of the cabins are now duplexes and quite fancy plus you get a porch.
