QOLLASUYU SEPTEMBER GATHERING 2018

THE QOLLASUYU COUNCIL INVITES YOU
TO OUR ANNUAL SEPTEMBER GATHERING

“Continuing the Conversation: Destination Manifestation”
As we move through challenging times,
You Are Invited by the Qollasuyu Council
to a Weekend of Grace and Ease
embraced by Pachamama, cleansed by her waters,
illumined by the light of INTI, Mamakilla and the Chaskamayu
amid the ancient MALKIs to Renew Your Spirit and Recharge Your Soul.

Join Us for  Gathering of Pachakuti Mesa Carriers
from the Southeast Suyu and Beyond!

From early recorded history throughout the Americas, we know inhabitants have been coming together to share and celebrate.  Continuing a long-held tradition, Native American tribes still conduct “powwows”, “circles” and the like.  French trappers were known for their “rendezvous”.   All traded goods, passed on remedies, swapped stories, sang songs and danced in celebration.  These get-togethers often occurred in late summer. Participants departed with a renewed sense of community and perhaps new knowledge that would help sustain them during the long winters.  Often, too, small bands would cross paths while hunting, fishing and trapping throughout the year.  They would ‘sit down a spell’ to share a meal and warmth of a fire.

This year’s September Gathering of the Qollasuyu Ayllu embodies the spirit of these assemblages. From Friday Evening, September 7th through Midday, Sunday, September 9th. We welcome  mesa carriers from the many ayllus of the southeast region as well as mesa carriers from other Suyus to come together to share our tradition in similar fashion.

We invite you to join us
      • in ceremony as we gather our mesas around the Qollasuyu mesa providing an “arte rendezvous” as  our mesas and artes commune on Friday night,
      • move into individual and collective remembering of what sustains us through sound and medicine songs, our personal healing artes,
      • share images and stories of our sacred places,
      • hike to a secret place Saturday afternoon
      • followed by a fire ceremony Saturday night
      • weave a personal and collective vision on Sunday to carry us into and through the next year.
As Pachakuti Mesa Carriers we will fully engage one another, sometimes with a Yanantin or in small group –  trading a ritually activated arte, sharing medicine, swapping stories; other times in full circle – connecting with nature, singing, dancing and being in silence around a sacred fire.

We will identify sacred places throughout our Sacred Suyu where we can meet or pilgrimage during the year. We will make plans to renew our spirit, show gratitude to mother earth and each other and practice ceremonial healing for these troubled times. There will also be time to speak our truths and reveal our dreams in intimate settings with one another at the Mountain.

COST OF THE GATHERING: (More information below)

    • Reflect on an experience that holds significant meaning for you along your spiritual and life’s path. As you reflect use all your senses, smell, touch, sounds, visual, kinesthetic.

    • REVISED!!!  MOST IMPORTANT!  Please bring a small arte that can fit in your hand or pocket that can carry the medicine of your intent and assist you in your manifestation. This arte will be activated to serve you. This arte will have/has the ability to shape shift and to connect with/bridge to any piece on the mesa at your direction. None of this should take long to prepare.  As you can tell from this list, the gathering is focused on full participation in sharing and celebration.  We are intent on garnering our community’s energy to elevate our sense of spirit and gratitude.  We will invoke the power of ayni, ritual, story, song and dance and then embody these practices pouring out this medicine to our precious mother Earth.

While our physical needs may not be so precarious as our ancestors’, our emotional and spiritual selves require sustenance and renewal.could not be more in need of sustenance.
